APHIS Wildlife Services and Partners Host Coyote Symposium

The 2014 Coyote Symposium on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden, Colorado, features researchers and local managers reporting back on various elements of the Denver Metro Area Coyote Research Project, as well as the current status of coyote ecology and management in the Denver Metro Area. The event is hosted by USDA Wildlife Services, Colorado State University, Utah State University, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Jefferson County Open Space, and the City and County of Broomfield.
Topics will include the following:
- coyote ecology
- human dimensions
- coyote behavior
- manager's survey
- management in urban areas
- hazing study
- the Coyote Watch citizen science program
- panel discussions and questions
