Dear BRS Stakeholder,
As announced last week by APHIS Administrator Kevin Shea, this week we’ve launched the newly re-designed APHIS Web site. The new site incorporates current best practices while introducing a new content management system that improves functionality and allows for continued enhancements.
We know that our Biotechnology Regulatory Services (BRS) web pages are a critical tool and resource to our stakeholders, so we wanted to highlight some of the changes you’ll see on the new BRS site at http://www.aphis.usda.gov/biotechnology. Please bookmark this link to access the new site.
-
Visitors coming to APHIS’ home page are now routed directly to the BRS home page instead of an interim page describing APHIS’ role in biotechnology regulation.
-
The BRS Home Page has a new layout with the site navigation on the left. The home page features a large image slider highlighting program priorities.
-
The Petitions and Permits tables can be found under “Environmental Documents” in the left navigation.
-
The former “I Want To” section has been replaced with custom “Related Links” menus on the right side of the page with targeted site-specific, related topics.
-
Federal Register Notices are now housed exclusively in the Library and organized by topic and year from the present back to 2002.
-
There’s a comprehensive footer with additional navigation aids and a new, more comprehensive search tool.
If you should identify any issues, please send them to BRS.Stakeholders@aphis.usda.gov. Your input will help us continue to improve the site.
