USDA Animal Care has changed the method in which research facilities regulated under the Animal Welfare Act are to submit their Annual Report of Research Facility data.
In an effort to streamline the process and make things easier and more straightforward for the facilities, we are now offering a fillable .pdf file version of our Annual Report form on our website. The facilities will complete these forms and then mail them to our regional offices so that we can capture the data easily and accurately.
Animal Welfare Act regulations require USDA-registered research facilities to send us an Annual Report to document their activities and animal usage for that particular fiscal year (October 1 through September 30). These reports are due by December 1 of each year.
The online form is located here: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/animal_welfare/annual_report_forms.shtml
At USDA Animal Care, ensuring the welfare of the animals we regulate is at the heart of everything we do.
