Please note the following updates to the email you received previously:

1)      Your national accreditation number (NAN) must include all six digits.  In the previous email we only included the last five digits and we apologize for the inconvenience.  Please see below for your correct NAN.

2)      Also, please note that this message is just a notification. You do not need to renew your accreditation at this time.  You should only renew within six months prior to your renewal date as listed below.

Dear Dr. Last Name:

We appreciate your continued service as an accredited veterinarian. Throughout 2010 and 2011, more than 60,000 accredited veterinarians elected to participate in the new National Veterinary Accreditation Program.

This correspondence is to remind you of your national accreditation number, and accreditation renewal date.

Your national accreditation number is: Certification Number

Your accreditation renewal date is: Renewal Date

Please remember that Category I accredited veterinarians must complete any 3 APHIS Approved Supplemental Training (AAST) modules and Category II veterinarians must complete any 6 AAST modules prior to applying for renewal of accreditation.

You can find further information concerning the accreditation renewal process, including the AAST modules, on the NVAP website: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/animal_health/vet_accreditation/ .

AAST modules are also offered at several veterinary meetings and are scheduled for presentation at the AVMA Convention, Central Veterinary Conference, and others in 2012.

Thank you again for your participation. If you have questions or if your contact information has changed, contact the Area Office which oversees the State where you practice as soon as possible.  Also please remember to renew your accreditation only within 6 months prior to your accreditation renewal date; otherwise you may not perform any duties after your renewal date which require accreditation in the National Veterinary Accreditation Program.

Sincerely,

The National Veterinary Accreditation Program
