IMMEDIATE UPDATE: FAVIR and ACIR Databases--1/25/2022
USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service sent this bulletin at 01/25/2022 09:20 AM ESTThis notice is to alert you to changes in the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) Database and Agriculture Commodity Import Requirements (ACIR) Database.
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has determined that in addition to the existing irradiation treatment option, plums from Chile may safely be imported under a systems approach to mitigate the risk posed by European grapevine moth (EGVM). Additionally, fumigation with methyl bromide is now a treatment option as well. This change is effective January 25, 2022 (Docket No. APHIS-2021-0041).
