Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services’ (APHIS) Veterinary Services (VS) is excited to announce the launch of the eFile Animal Products, Organisms and Vectors permit application. With this update to APHIS eFile, users can enjoy a new permitting experience.
In APHIS eFile, the VS Permitting Assistant (VSPA) will help you determine all international import, transit, and interstate movement requirements. It can also provide a summary of all required documentation including permit applications, certificates, informational letters, and more.
To save you time, the information you submit in your VS Permitting Assistant Request will automatically be copied into your application(s). Click here to go to VSPA and get started.
In the future, you will be able to use VSPA and eFile to apply for additional VS permits, such as for live animals. Both VSPA and the eFile Animal Products, Organisms, and Vectors permit application are part of the online catalog of services and tools available through APHIS eFile. APHIS eFile is a platform used to support APHIS regulatory activities including permitting, registrations, and licenses. To see which services are available, visit efile.aphis.usda.gov.
Contact VS with questions via email at APIE@usda.gov or call (301) 851-3300.
