Dear BRS Stakeholder,
U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s (APHIS) Biotechnology Regulatory Services (BRS) will extend pilot launch of its new permitting system, APHIS eFile. In the meantime, please continue to rely on ePermits to submit both web and XML applications.
APHIS eFile is part of APHIS’ commitment to improving the customer experience. In May 2019, BRS began working with pilot participates to gather feedback on APHIS eFile. The user feedback has been invaluable. BRS will incorporate additional pilot participants, in the near future, to ensure all aspects of the new system meet our users’ needs.
We will provide you with updates on APHIS eFile, such as a future announcement on its official release.
