USDA Launches New and Improved Online Annual Reporting System for Research Facilities

Dear Research Community:
This week, USDA’s Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service (APHIS) launched its new and improved online Annual Reporting system for research facilities.
Last fall, facilities regulated under the Animal Welfare Act had the opportunity to submit their USDA Annual Reports online for the first time. Based on customer feedback, USDA has made significant improvements to the system, making this year’s submission process even easier.
This year, research facilities that use USDA’s online system to submit their Annual Report will see the following improvements including:
- Easier login process
- More convenient entry of animals
- Ability for facility representative to submit on behalf of CEO or IO
- Instant confirmation of receipt via email, including an attached copy of the Annual Report
This release is part of APHIS’ commitment to improve customer experience by reducing regulatory burden and offering intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences.
