NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – Colorado: The USDA, APHIS, Wildlife Services (WS) program in Colorado (WS-Colorado) in cooperation with the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management, and the U.S. Forest Service have prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA), “Predator Damage Management in Colorado December 2017”, which provides additional analysis and detail to the existing WS-Colorado Predator Damage Management EA. This EA has been prepared to better explain the WS-Colorado Predator Damage Management Program and provide updated analysis of the recent literature and the proposed action. This EA addresses recent literature published on the subject of predator management and additional concerns that have been raised by the public during previous NEPA processes in Colorado. The EA analyzes potential environmental effects of conducting alternative strategies to reduce damage associated with coyotes, red fox, striped skunks, black bears, raccoons, mountain lions, and to a lesser extent, feral cats, badgers, and bobcats. This EA is available for review and comment prior to issuing a decision on the alternative to be selected and its associated environmental impacts.WS-Colorado is requesting that the public review and provide their comments on the EA.

When requesting a copy of the EA by mail or fax, please include a mailing address.
