NOTICE: Biosecurity Posters for Beef and Dairy Farms

APHIS is pleased to announce that biosecurity posters for beef and dairy titled “Protecting the Herd” are now available for downloading from Iowa State University’s (ISU) Center for Food Security & Public Heath website at http://www.cfsph.iastate.edu/Infection_Control/Species/cattle.php.  The dairy poster, with additional information on foot-and-mouth disease, is also available on the Secure Milk Supply website at  http://securemilksupply.org/training-materials.php.

The posters describe ways to prevent disease introduction and spread by illustrating protocols to follow during daily farm activities. They are available in both English and Spanish.

APHIS and ISU developed the posters with contributions from the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the National Cattleman's Beef Association, and the National Milk Producers Federation.
