On June 15, 2015, USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) notified State Plant Regulatory Officials that APHIS and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) established a new Mexican fruit fly regulated area in the Rangerville area, Cameron County, and McAllen, Mission, and La Villa areas of Hidalgo County, Texas, after Mexican fruit flies were caught in program detection traps between March 31 and May 6, 2015.
