WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) entered into a stipulation agreement with Cox Livestock Inc. and Duke Cox of Cedar City, Utah, on Nov. 18, 2024, for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards (P&S) Act. Under the terms of the stipulation agreement, Cox waived his right to a hearing and paid a civil penalty of $4,000.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 25, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) filed a complaint against Intermountain Packing LLC, and David Adams of Idaho Falls, Idaho, on Dec. 23, 2024, for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyard (P&S) Act.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has imposed sanctions on three produce businesses for failing to meet contractual obligations to the sellers of produce they purchased and failing to pay reparation awards issued under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA). These sanctions include suspending the businesses’ PACA licenses and barring the principal operators of the businesses from engaging in PACA-licensed business or other activities without approval from USDA.
