New Resources for the GS1 Global Data Synchronization Network (GS1 GDSN) Requirement for USDA Foods Vendors
The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has posted two new resources to the GS1 Global Data Synchronization Network (GS1 GDSN) webpage for USDA Foods vendors.
- The List of Required Products for GS1 GDSN Reporting has been updated to indicate items that are required to include a copy of a Child Nutrition (CN) Label or Product Formulation Statement (PFS) in GS1 GDSN for the USDA Foods program.

Tips for Successful Publication to GS1 GDSN for USDA Foods in Schools is a new resource which provides a comprehensive overview of the information required in GS1 GDSN for the USDA Foods program. Important information on the USDA Global Location Number (GLN), CN Label or PFS documentation, and entry of nutrition, ingredient, and allergen information is included.
Vendors are invited to attend a webinar on Thursday, April 21 at 1:00 pm ET to hear from 1WorldSync, FNS, and AMS about the information included in the new resources, and tips to remember when publishing to GS1 GDSN for the USDA Foods program.
