New Organic Integrity Learning Center Course
New Course on Risk-Based Oversight
The National Organic Program (NOP) is pleased to announce a new course in the Organic Integrity Learning Center: the Risk-Based Oversight course.
Risk is a part of any business. In the organic industry, certifiers and certified farms and businesses regularly manage and mitigate risks to protect organic integrity. Using risk-based oversight strategies, certifiers can prioritize resources for oversight of high-risk operations and commodities. Certified farms and businesses can use similar strategies to evaluate and improve internal operations. The Risk-Based Oversight course explains the theory and practical application of a risk-based oversight approach. Learners then use hands-on exercises to evaluate several organic integrity risk scenarios.
