Conducting Yield Analysis

The National Organic Program (NOP) is pleased to announce a new course in the Organic Integrity Learning Center!

The Conducting Yield Analysis course explains how to access data, calculate yields, evaluate findings, and document the analysis. The course also includes exercises which provide practical experience applying this essential oversight tool.

Yield analysis is an essential tool for protecting the integrity of organic imports. As the organic market grows and supply chain complexity increases, certifiers use a variety of oversight tools to verify compliance with the organic regulations. Yield analysis provides certifiers with insight into whether an organic farm could feasibly produce the amount of product marketed and sold.

Being able to conduct yield analysis is a critical skill that helps certifiers protect and continue to build a fair and competitive organic market.
