The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) oversees the dynamic, growing organic industry. This small federal program has a big impact on farmers, businesses and consumers, enforcing the organic standards to continually strengthen trust in the USDA organic seal.
We are hiring Remote Accreditation Managers to join our Accreditation Division and serve as primary contact for several USDA-accredited certifiers. Selected candidates will:
Conduct quality system and regulatory compliance assessments of certifiers;
Provide technical expertise to certifiers;
Participate in complex investigations of alleged program violations;
Present training to certifiers, inspectors, auditors and others; and
Conduct a myriad of activities to make sure certifier control systems are effective.
This position is advertised as an Agricultural Marketing Specialist (Regulatory) at the GS-12 level and is open to qualified members of the public. Remote Accreditation Managers can be based anywhere in the continental U.S., with occasional travel required.
