Deadlines: To be considered during the Fall 2019 Meeting, written comments and requests for oral comment speaking slots must be received by 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time, October 3, 2019.

The National Organic Program issued a memo to the NOSB requesting recommendations related to ion exchange filtration for organic products. Certifiers have different policies for the review of ion-exchange for processing organic products. NOP is requesting the Board’s recommendation(s) to help address inconsistencies between certifiers and to ensure that organic handling operations, certifiers, and other interested parties have an opportunity to provide input.
