Organic Enforcement Rulemaking

Virtual Town Hall recording and slides now available

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, we hosted a virtual town hall to engage organic stakeholders as the Strengthening Organic Enforcement rulemaking process begins. Nearly 400 people participated in the live event. There will also be a formal public comment process once the proposed rule is developed and published.

This rulemaking is part of our Enforcement Action Plan that outlines progress and next steps for the program. USDA is committed to setting a level playing field that will allow U.S. producers and international businesses to compete fairly and continue to develop the organic industry.
