AMS National Organic Program Shares Training for Certifiers and Inspectors

NOP Provides Annual Training for USDA-Accredited Organic Certifiers

On January 31 – February 1, National Organic Program (NOP) staff presented training to USDA-accredited organic certifiers in Portland, Oregon. The annual training provides critical information, updates, and reminders to certifiers, as well as serves as a communication tool between the Accreditation and International Activities Division and its certifier clients. Over 200 certifier staff and other industry partners attended the event. During the training, Miles McEvoy, NOP Deputy Administrator and Cheri Courtney, NOP Accreditation and International Activities Division (AIA) Director presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Patricia Kane, Coordinator of the Accredited Certifiers Association, for her many years of service to the Organic Industry.
