The Product Registry is now available for software developers to build their API integration! The Beta Pilot is still ongoing, but CPSC will allow access to software developers who are not participating in the pilot. This opportunity will provide developers additional time to test their API integration with the Product Registry prior to the voluntary test stage, beginning this summer, where any importer may begin eFiling.
Please note that this is only an opportunity for software developers to access the Product Registry via a software developer account. Developers will not have any access to existing importer Business Accounts and can only use this access to build out their API integration, using this specifications document. During development, software developers should only test and transmit data in limited quantities.
Software developers interested in an account should email eFilingSupport@cpsc.gov with the company’s name and initial user’s name and email address. The Product Registry will allow this initial user to invite other users within their company after establishing their software developer account. CPSC will allow access on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited based on CPSC’s development capacity.
