Since 1972, CPSC has been recalling consumer products to keep you and your loved ones safe. Recalled products can be as small as a button battery or as big as a home appliance.

We make sure you have everything you need to know about a product recall – what’s wrong with the product and how to get your refund, repair, or replacement.

Most importantly - we want you to know about the products that have caused injuries and deaths.

Sometimes a product is recalled because it does not comply with federal regulations. Sometimes it’s because the product is dangerous. Whatever the reason, always take advantage of your recall remedy as fast as possible.

E-Bikes Recalled Due to Fire Hazard; One Injury Reported Company: Pacific Cycle Reason for Hazard: The wiring harness that manages the charging of the lithium-ion battery was not properly assembled, creating a risk of overheating and fire while charging. Remedy: Consumers should enter their serial number on Pacific Cycle's Recall page before returning their bike(s) to confirm their electric bike is part of the recall. Recalled bikes can be turned in at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s for a full refund.

Fire Extinguishers with Plastic Handles Cause One Reported Death Company: Kidde Reason for Hazard: The fire extinguishers can become clogged or require excessive force to discharge and can fail to activate during a fire emergency. Additionally, the nozzle can detach with enough force to pose an impact hazard. Remedy: Consumers can contact Kidde to request a free replacement fire extinguisher and instructions on returning the recalled unit.
