Why is my grant data not up to date on USASpending.gov?

Dear Colleagues,

In certain circumstances, it is possible that there may be a delay between the time your grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service is awarded and when it is posted on USASpending.gov.  The most common reason for this is a data processing delay that affects most federal awards.  In most cases, the lag time will be less than 30 days.

We know the importance of having timely, accurate information on USASpending.gov.  That is why we upload the prior month’s CNCS grant award data by the 5th of each month, or sooner if possible.  This gives prime grantees an average of 25 calendar days to post their prior month’s subaward data.  If your award data is not up to date in USASpending.gov after we should have posted it, please notify your grants officer for assistance.

Have a topic to be addressed in a future bulletin?

If you would like to suggest a topic to be addressed in a future grants and financial management bulletin, please send it to our knowledge management lead, Brad Lewis, at blewis@cns.gov.
