Upcoming Enhancements to AmeriCorps.gov

Dear Grantees and Project Sponsors,

Earlier this year, AmeriCorps released our redesigned AmeriCorps.gov website, an initiative to make national service more accessible to people and organizations who may not be familiar with us. Our new website introduced a simplified menu that is oriented around our core audiences, including: the general public; those who are interested in serving or partnering with AmeriCorps; and the people and organizations who already serve or partner with AmeriCorps.

On Thursday, May 6, we will go live with enhancements to the Grantees & Sponsors section of the site. This phase of the website redesign – which we invite you to preview – is responsive to feedback we heard from many of you about making it easier to find the relevant resources on our website to manage your federal award and national service project.

What does this mean for you?

The Grantees & Sponsors section will have a new, easier-to-navigate click path to locate the resources you use most often, including the manuals, trainings, and forms that help you manage your federal award.

Effective June 1, any bookmarks you’ve created on nationalservice.gov will no longer work and will redirect you to the AmeriCorps.gov homepage. We suggest you take a few minutes on or after May 6 to orient yourself to the new site and reset your bookmarks.

Share your feedback

Grantee and sponsor input were instrumental to help us rethink our audience experience. We realize there may be a learning curve to navigate our new site and we encourage you to spend a few minutes clicking around on May 6.

We invite you to tell us what you think of the new streamlined, audience-oriented design – part of our ongoing efforts to make AmeriCorps’ programs easier to access and manage for people and organizations. Please email comments or questions to webmastermb@cns.gov.

Thank you for your partnership and steadfast commitment to providing outstanding opportunities for members and volunteers to serve to local communities and our country at-large.

In service,

Haley Lamm
