AmeriCorps Week, March 8-14, 2020, is a celebration of all things AmeriCorps – from the programs and organizations that make this national service initiative possible in communities across the country, to the members who have pledged to “Get Things Done” since the program’s inception in 1994. 

Join the celebration! Let the world know about your experience. Below are 20 creative ways you can show you were #MadeInAmeriCorps

  1. Follow AmeriCorps on Instagram, Twitter,and Facebook and share our posts. 
  2. Share the 8 Reasons to Love AmeriCorps graphic. 
  3. Create your own AmeriCorps “A” on the #DayoftheA, March 11. Can you top A’s made from vegetables, chainsaws, or students in formation
  4. Order new gear to show your AmeriCorps pride. 
  5. Inspire the next generation of AmeriCorps members. Share your story with students, at your place of worship, or civic groups using ourAmeriCorps recruitment presentation,pamphlet, and flyer
  6. Send anop-edorletter to the editorto your local newspaper about the value of AmeriCorps. 
  7. Tell your friends about AmeriCorps and share the Be the Greater Good video on social media. 
  8. Add your AmeriCorps experience to your LinkedIn profile and share your service storywith your network. 
  9. Tell the world about ways to serve with your own #MadeInAmeriCorps video. Try alip-sync,time-lapse,photo story, or original music video
  10. Increase opportunities for alumni – invite your alma mater (or current school) to match the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award
  11. Create an Insta Story showing the faces and places of your AmeriCorps service.

  16. Support other alums! Encourage your workplace to register as an Employer of National Service.
