Dear CNCS Grant Recipients and Sponsors:

On Thursday, March 21st, the Office of Grants Management is leading a discussion on USASpending and Its Importance to CNCS Grantees and Sponsors. Registration information is found at the end of this message.

This discussion with CNCS grants managers and data and system analysts will explain why USASpending.gov is a key resource for all those working with CNCS, with exciting data exploration, mapping, and graphing functions. In addition, we will touch on what prime grantees need to do to meet their legal reporting obligations for timely upload of subgrant records.

Presenters will cover what USA Spending.gov is and who uses it, when CNCS data is uploaded, how it can be used to map and display a prime grantee’s projects, and how to give us feedback regarding your records. USASpending.gov is also useful for leveraging partnerships, as the search and mapping functions allow you to find similar nearby grantees, even when funded by other agencies. The discussion will cover the FFATA Subaward Reporting System (FSRS), including general guidance on entering subaward information.  The session will include opportunities to address participant questions.
