Dear CNCS
Grantees and Partners,
We are
excited about the upcoming National
Service Safety Stand Down as a part of America’s PrepareAthon! National Day of Action on April 30!
As we
mentioned in our last update, this Day of
Action is important to help all of our programs prepare for the hazards
they face as well as the individual side of preparedness. Across the country, thousands of individuals
and groups will identify a day and time to commit to participating in a
preparedness activity.
As you
determine the types of activities your program will engage in, it’s important
to register that activity with America’s PrepareAthon! Even
more important is affiliating your activity with CNCS. Take a look at some highlights below to ensure
your activity is counted!
We
appreciate your participation in helping to prepare your program for all
hazards, disasters and emergencies. We
look forward to the many great events across the country.
Don’t
forget to email DSU@cns.gov
with highlights, photos and participation lists so that we can recognize your
efforts. For questions, please contact Chad Stover at cstover@cns.gov.
Stay tuned
for continued updates this month as we prepare for the National Service Safety Stand Down.
