Dear Friends of Service,

Cesar Chavez Day is only a couple of weeks away! 

March 31 is a day of remembrance and service to honor and celebrate Mr. Chavez’s legacy as a civil rights leader who called on citizens to serve in their communities.

See below ways you can answer Mr. Chavez’s call to service on or around March 31. 

GET INVOLVED

Visit Serve.gov to find helpful information and find out how you can participate on Cesar Chavez Day:

  • Plan a Service Project: Find helpful service project tool kits and Cesar Chavez curriculum on Serve.gov.

  • Find a Service Project: Visit Serve.gov to find an existing volunteer opportunity near you.

  • Register Your Service Project: Help recruit volunteers to your service project by posting it on Serve.gov

TELL US WHAT YOU'RE DOING

If you are planning an event or are volunteering in honor of Cesar Chavez Day, we want to hear about it! Please email engagement@cns.gov with the following information:

  • Date of service project
  • Location of service project
  • Number of volunteers expected
  • Is project seeking - or can it accommodate - additional volunteers? 
  • Description of service project
  • Key contact information for follow up
