Alert – Fraudulent “SAM Update” Contacts

Dear Colleagues,

We have learned that an email with the Subject: “Confirm Your SAM Update (10/5/2015)” is being sent by a fraudulent contractor using the name “CRI Federal”, requesting financial information and in some cases asking for payment via an email with the following domain: “We have learned that an email with the Subject: “Confirm Your SAM Update (10/5/2015)” is being sent by a fraudulent contractor using the name “CRI Federal”, requesting financial information and in some cases asking for payment via an email with the following domain: “*** @crinc7.com” This is a fraudulent operation. These “contractors” ask that recipients call to “update their profile” and offer templates to do so. Please do not respond to or click on any of the links. 

If you hear of anyone being contacted this way, please advise him or her to contact CNCS at: phishing@cns.gov and pass all information to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) and local law enforcement authorities. This can also be reported to the GSA Inspector General’s fraud line (1-800-424-5210), via e-mail fraudnet@gsaig.gov, or using the Inspector General web form. Additionally, this can be reported to the CNCS Inspector General's Hotline (1-800-452-8210) or Hotline@cncsoig.gov.
