The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is pleased to announce the release of important information for states on coordination of benefits for Medicaid beneficiaries who have additional coverage through a third party. These FAQs provide clarifying guidance on questions about coordination of benefits and answers specific questions raised by states. We are also sharing a Guide to Effective State Practices that provides state Medicaid programs’ information about COB/TPL practices that states have implemented and found effective.
