Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a State Health Official (SHO) Letter, Streamlining Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) Templates to Improve Monitoring and Oversight to Ensure Fiscal Integrity, to provide states with updated guidance specific to state compliance with regulatory requirements for MES modules and solutions. This letter documents CMS' ongoing efforts to reduce the state burden and streamline and standardize state project reporting and oversight in numerous areas.
