The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a five-year extension to the “Nebraska Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program Section 1115 Demonstration.” This extension allows the state to continue receiving federal financial participation (FFP) for SUD services provided to beneficiaries in institutions for mental disease (IMDs).
The demonstration extension is effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2030. Today’s approval and other administrative documents can be found on the Medicaid.gov demonstration page.
