Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an updated informational bulletin that discusses opportunities available under Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to cover clinically appropriate and evidence-based services and supports that address health-related social needs (HRSN). By addressing HRSN, state Medicaid and CHIP programs can help their beneficiaries stay connected to coverage and access needed health care services.
