On November 14, 2024, The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) submitted an amendment to the Maryland Health Choice section 1115 demonstration. The proposed amendment seeks approval to authorize: (1) An expansion of the Assistance in Community Integration Services pilot program to update existing payment methodologies and increase participant spaces to support state wide expansion of housing and tenancy-based case management services to individuals experiencing or who are at risk of homelessness; (2) An expansion of Express Lane Eligibility (ELE) for non-Modified Adjusted Gross Income (non-MAGI) adults; and (3) Coverage of fertility preservation services for individuals with, or at risk for iatrogenic infertility. The federal comment period will be open from November 25, 2024, through December 25, 2024.
