The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with the Lewin Group (Lewin) to maintain the managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) quality measures and to conduct respecification of a subset of the MLTSS measures for participants receiving fee-for-service (FFS) LTSS. Each of the MLTSS measures and FFS LTSS measures are intended to be an aligned pair, collectively referred to as LTSS measures, but each measure will have separate technical specifications.
CMS requests the public submit general comments or specific feedback on the technical specifications of the included measures, and on specific questions detailed in the attachments associated with this public comment package as a part of the measure development process. The LTSS measures are grouped into two categories: LTSS assessment and care planning measures and LTSS rebalancing and utilization measures.
The public comment period opened on Thursday, July 27, 2023, and closes at 11:59 PM EDT Monday, August 28, 2023. CMS encourages the public to submit general comments or specific feedback to HCBSMeasures@Lewin.com.
