Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a short data brief that includes a snapshot of selected metrics from various data sources (i.e.,T-MSIS, Child and Adult Core Set, Consumer Assessment of Health Plan Providers and Systems) in three key dimensions of Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) access: Access to Medicaid and CHIP coverage, as measured by enrollment and retention; access to services, with a focus on mental health conditions and substance use disorders; and perceived access, as measured by beneficiary experiences in managed care.
