Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a fact sheet to provide states and stakeholders information on eligibility and health coverage options for certain Ukrainian nationals arriving in the United States as a result of the 2022 Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act and the Uniting for Ukraine program.

Most displaced Ukrainian nationals arriving in the United States are eligible for health insurance. Certain Ukrainian nationals are eligible for health coverage through Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), the Health Insurance Marketplace, or Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA).  This fact sheet provides information based on current law and will be updated if there are future legislative changes.
