The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is requesting authority for a new five-year section 1115 demonstration to expand statewide access to comprehensive behavioral health services for those with opioid use disorders (OUDs) and other substance use disorders (SUDs). Specifically, the state seeks a limited waiver of the federal Medicaid Institutions for Mental Diseases (IMD) exclusion. The federal public comment period will be open from July 5, 2022 through August 4, 2022.
