1115 Waiver Demonstration - West Virginia Creating a Continuum of Care for Medicaid Enrollees with Substance Use Disorders - Extension Request

On June 1, 2022, West Virginia submitted a request to extend its West Virginia Creating a Continuum of Care for Medicaid Enrollees with Substance Use Disorders 1115 demonstration for a five-year period. The demonstration is an essential approach to addressing the behavioral health needs of West Virginians. Key focal points of this extension request include building upon the successes of the demonstration, as well as focusing on improving health outcomes by increasing access to and utilization of appropriate health treatment services, improving care coordination and care transitions, and addressing social determinants of health influencing outcomes. The federal comment period will be opened from June 10, 2022 through July 10, 2022.
