On May 4, 2022 Texas submitted an amendment to the Texas Healthcare Transformation and Quality Improvement Program (THTQIP) section 1115(a) demonstration. The THTQIP demonstration provides benefits through the state’s Medicaid managed care programs. The state is proposing to deliver the Case Management for Children and Pregnant Women (CPW) Medicaid benefit via the managed care delivery system. CPW, which provides case management services to assist certain individuals in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services, is currently provided fee-for-service. The federal comment period will be opened from May 16, 2022 through June 15, 2022.
