CMS releases two new Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) Analytic Files (TAF)

Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released two new Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) Analytic Files (TAF) that contains Annual Managed Care Plan (APL) and Annual Provider (APR) TAF RIF (Research Identifiable Files) for calendar years 2014–2016. Over the next few months, this data will be included in new releases of TAF RIF for calendar years 2017-2020 and CMS plans to continue releasing this data with all future TAF RIF.  

The release of this data will allow users to link additional plan and provider information to existing beneficiary and claims data and perform more complete analyses by plan and provider.  CMS plans to continue to release this data in all future T-MSIS data releases.
