Virginia submitted an amendment to its "FAMIS MOMS and FAMIS Select Section 1115 Demonstration" to provide coverage for 12‐months postpartum for pregnant women with incomes below 205 percent of the FPL who are currently not eligible to transition to another coverage group after the expiration of the 60-day postpartum period (in accordance with the Medicaid state plan). Virginia expects the additional 10 months of postpartum coverage will improve continuity of coverage and access to care for Medicaid and CHIP‐enrolled women during the critical postpartum period. The 30-day federal public comment period will be open from April 7, 2021 to May 7, 2021.
