On February 23, 2021, Utah submitted a request to amend the Primary Care Network section 1115 demonstration to increase the maximum monthly premium assistance reimbursement amount for individuals enrolled in Utah’s Premium Partnership for Health Insurance Program (UPP). Utah currently has authority to provide $150 in monthly premium assistance benefits per enrollee to individuals enrolled in UPP and proposes to increase the monthly premium amount to $300 per enrollee. The amendment request does not propose any further changes to the demonstration populations, eligibility requirements or services to individuals who receive premium assistance under UPP. The federal public comment period will be open from March 25, 2021 through April 24, 2021.
