Updated COVID-19 Claims Guidance on the T-MSIS Coding Blog

CMS has issued a revision to the guidance on Reporting Claims for COVID-19 Testing in the T-MSIS Claims Files. The revision narrows the scope of guidance to be applicable only to uninsured individuals who receive limited Medicaid coverage for COVID-19 testing. In addition, CMS has added a table with suggested mapping of relevant COVID-19 procedure codes to PROGRAM-TYPE, TYPE-OF-SERVICE, and BENEFIT-TYPE codes for states to consider referencing when reporting to T-MSIS.
