On May 10, 2018, Maine submitted a 5-year extension application for its Health Care Reform Demonstration for Individuals with HIV/AIDS. The demonstration provides a comprehensive set of services to those who are both HIV positive and are at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty level. The demonstration expands access to those without health insurance and who are otherwise ineligible for Maine Medicaid as well as expands access to coverage to individuals with other forms of insurance.

The initial 30-day federal public comment period (May 30, 2018 - June 29, 2018) did not include the state's submitted interim evaluation report. Therefore, CMS is providing a second 30-day federal public comment period for the public to have an opportunity to review and comment on the interim evaluation report submitted as part of the extension application. The second federal public comment period will be open from July 19, 2018 - August 18, 2018.

Pending Application
