SMD: Affordable Care Act’s Amendments to the Spousal Impoverishment Statute

Today the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued guidance to states on the implementation of section 2404 of the Affordable Care Act, which expanded spousal impoverishment protections to include spouses of home and community-based services beneficiaries.
