You can still select a new plan for 2024

Your 2023 Marketplace plan wasn’t available to you in 2024. The Marketplace automatically enrolled you in a new health plan that began January 1, 2024 so you don’t have a gap in coverage. If you’re happy with this new plan, be sure to pay the first month’s payment by the plan’s due date, or your 2024 coverage will be canceled.

Can I still choose a different plan?

Yes. We want to make sure the plan you’ll be enrolled in for 2024 is the right one for you. To review available plans, visit HealthCare.gov, select your 2024 application, and report that you lost coverage in your old plan as of December 31, 2023. You’ll qualify for a Special Enrollment Period and can choose a different plan for coverage starting February 1.

Return to HealthCare.gov and review your 2024 Marketplace plan options.

Important: If you want to choose a different plan, act by January 16 to view all available plans. You’ll qualify for a Special Enrollment Period to change your plan up until March 1, but your plan choices may be limited if you make the change after January 16.

Don’t forget – there’s still time to choose a different plan for coverage starting February 1. Visit HealthCare.gov to update your application and report that you lost coverage in your old plan on December 31, 2023.
