Welcome to the Marketplace Weekly Digest, your weekly update on the Marketplace, including announcements and important dates and deadlines for agents and brokers.

Tax Season Readiness Announcements

Tax season is here! This year, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will not accept electronically filed tax returns where the taxpayer does not address the health coverage requirements of the Affordable Care Act. Review this link for more information on the individual shared responsibility provision.
Help consumers who enrolled in coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplaces and received advance payments of the premium tax credit (APTC) understand the Form 1095-A that they receive from the Marketplace.
Use the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit Estimator to see how much your small group clients enrolled in Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) coverage could save.

Reminders

Learn about the new proposed rule that would change the maximum duration of short-term, limited-duration health insurance coverage and find out how to submit comments here. Comments will be accepted until April 22.
There are consumers eligible to enroll in coverage all year through a special enrollment period (SEP). Check out these new webinar slides that review SEP qualifying events.
SHOP is open! You can help small group clients enroll in and manage their coverage throughout year.
