Description:
Audit follow-up is an integral part of good management and is a shared responsibility of agency management officials and auditors and evaluators. Corrective action taken by management on findings and recommendations is essential to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of government operations.
Panelists from the CIGIE community, both small and large OIGs, will share their experiences and best practices for the recommendation follow up and the resolution process. The session will focus on (1) legislative and regulatory fundamentals, (2) agency’s management decision in the recommendation process, (3) recommendation follow up, tracking, posting and closure process.

These 2-hour informative sessions are held quarterly, and attendees typically receive 2 CPEs.
