We're answering the question:
How did states, cities, and counties involve their communities in the allocation of pandemic relief funds?
State, local, territory, and tribal governments received unprecedented levels of federal funding through the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan Act. The $350 billion State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund provided direct, flexible funding for COVID-19 response and recovery.
Leaders across the country turned to their communities to determine how to spend the funding. Hear from local government officials and subject-matter experts on how cities and counties tackled the challenge of ensuring that pandemic relief spending aligned with residents’ priorities.
