Monthly State Retail Sales

Today the U.S. Census Bureau released the November 2023 Monthly State Retail Sales Report (MSRS). The MSRS report features interactive state-level data visualizations that combine data from Monthly Retail Trade Survey data, administrative data, and third-party data.

Within the report, year-over-year percentage changes are available for total retail sales by state and 11 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes beginning in January 2019. Nonstore retailers are excluded from the report.
